AccuBook Launches Associate Program

Thursday, August 23, 2007 10:07 AM

AccuBook has designed and built a asp.NET Content Management System, specifically for the tourism industry,

In certain cases AccuBook is willing to give this Content Management System FOC to selected web designers. These web desginers at present are most likely to be Donegal based designers wishing to create a website with a Donegal/Tourism theme.

AccuBook would do this with the intention of soliciting help from the Web Design community in the testing and development of this product, and furthering its goals as a company. In this case the most useful thing a partner website designer could do would be to offer us feedback, help, suggestions and positive criticisms using our ticketing/knowledge database system.

We do ask that any web designer using the AccuWeb CMS retains and uses on the website;
A. Hotels and their products assigned to their particular website.
B. The XML feeds (ie Attractions, Activities, Entertainment, Events, Accommodation, Tourism News) relevant for their region.
C. The Car Trawler Booking Engine Page.
D. The E Bay Offers page.

All of the above features would add value to a website, but clearly we ask that they remain in the site so that we have an opportunity to generate some revenue and offset our costs. We do not lay down any guidelines as to the priority of this information, but we do hope that designers are reasonable about this. We also ask that any sites be hosted via our own hosting company (as we can guarantee server/feature compatibility).

Note - What would be supplied (and updated on a regular basis) is a complete website, with a templated front end design, YOU would add the text, images, change basic colours in the CMS, select the features you would want to use and switch off the ones you do not require. You can of course if you wish make major changes to the CSS to completely change the layout and design of the website. We anticipate that experienced partners who are able to help us with feature development will have access to the source code.

A potential designer would benefit by receiving a high end tourism based content management system, and learning;

  • Database Driven Web Design
  • CSS based web design
  • NET concept of User controls.
