We are in the process of making several upgrades to the AccuBook Booking Engine
You
may already know that AccuBook is a subsidiary of InterNETalia,
established to handle the growth of our business in the tourism
industry.
We
are currently in the process of re-branding and upgrading the Booking
Engine, there are many changes but we would like to bring your
attention to 2 keys ones.
1. E Mail Confirmations
- As technology develops E Mail is becoming the weakest link in the
chain, as bookings pass between systems through myriads of servers,
computers and spam filters. In the E Mails that contain the bookings we
have inserted a link 'confirm bookings' that must be clicked to
indicate that you have received it. If you dont do this the system
assumes that the e mail was not received and will send it again within
24 hours.
2. A Quick Close Out
- Acknowledging that most hotels after setting up rooms packages need
only to go back into the booking engine to close out allocation, we
have attempted to make this quicker and simpler.
Ticking a box in
the ‘Quick Close Out’ screen removes allocation for rooms and packages,
AND packages that may run into the date being closed. ie if you wish to
close out Saturday June 2nd, but you have made a 2 night packages
available for checking in on Friday June 1st, closing out June 2nd WILL
ALSO CLOSE OUT THE PACKAGE THAT IS AVIALBLE FOR SALE ON FRIDAY JUNE 1ST.
Other small changes that you may not be aware of ;
You can now add ‘Chargeable Extra’s’
in the inventory section ie items that you may want to sell online.
This can potentially provide an extra revenue stream, this may include
‘welcome packs’ ‘flowers in room’ ‘bottles of champagne’ etc.
All of our customers now have the option to sell Gift Vouchers
Online (in the Booking Engine see Inventory, (Vouchers/Chargeable
Extras’). We will soon be building a website platform that sells ‘Gifts
Ideas’ (ie vouchers only) and so will have a method of boosting these
sales.
‘No single booking on’,
when selected prevents a room being sold for that particular single
night. Most commonly used by hotels to prevent a Saturday night only
being booked on a Saturday night.
You, the Hotel Administrator can in this section create a 'coupon'
(otherwise known as a Promotion Code). Customers can use this coupon
during the booking phase to either obtain a discount on their booking
(ie 10%) or alternatively cash off (ie 10€ off).
