AccuBook Bulletin Nr 50 - New Product Features Released - Resent

These new product features were released back in March, but we wanted to remind customers.to ensure they are not missing any opportunities (Note this E Zine is being resent as it contains some important issues and some customers seem not to have received our last dispatch)

Multi Night Discounts - You can now set discounts according to the length of time a guest wishes to stay (exactly as you would when a guest telephones you). For example stay 2 nights and get 10% off, and stay 3 nights and get 15% off etc.

We expect most properties will want to set this up, particularly as it is normally a simple process that is done once during the set-up. To set this up go to the Extranet Tab Booking Engine/Multi Night Discount.

Wedding and Conference Welcomes - It is now possible to create a page of personalized content that appears when a guest is making a reservation using a Promotion Code for example for a Conference or Wedding. This allows the Hotel, the Wedding Couple or the Conference Organizers to convey useful information to the guest booking online concerning the event that is taking place.

Customer Reviews - Guests are being sent an e mail 4 days after departure asking 5 questions and asking them to rate the hotel on a scale of 1 to 5.
We have been surprised as to the quality of responses and the 'pick up' by the Hotel Owners. These of course are responses from guests who have actually stayed in the property, as opposed to TripAdvisor Comments which often leave some doubt as to their origin. In summary we find that these reviews are being taken seriously by the Hotel Owner.

Website Content - Any content, ie Blog Post or Event, that an Accommodation Provider adds to their website is being picked up by the system and displayed on one of the many portals that we have ie www.easyrooms.ie , www.irishguesthouseguide.com  . Apart from the obvious benefits of the publicity this also provides 'inbound links' back to the Accommodation Providers Website, which helps the Search Engine Ranking of the website.

FaceBook App - You can now have the AccuBook Booking Engine placed on your FaceBook Fanpage. Contrary to all the hype we have not seen many bookings come through this channel. However we would still propose doing it for the sake of the few seconds it takes to set up.

Secret Packages - It is now possible to set up a 'secret' package/special offer that is not visible to the general public and does not appear on the website unless you give to the customer the link/url to access the package. A common use for this is to create a 'Secret' Package and paste it in to the FaceBook FanPage so that only FaceBook Fans can access it.

Channel Manager/Channel Prioritization - You can now decide which channels you want to open and close with the Channel Manager on specific days. For example you may decide to leave only your most cost-effective channels open on busy Bank Holidays.
