Demand Management is the practice of adjusting room rates over a specified time period ( typically the next 3 weeks ) based on the occupancy level of the hotel.
If your hotel is near full occupancy you would not dicount your rooms, whereas if the hotel is nearly empty then a larger discount would be applied. The following table shown an example.
