Creating a demand management rule

1. From the Inventory menu, select Demand Manager Setup (1). The demand manager setup form is displayed, with a list of your rules (if any have been defined).

2. At the bottom of the form is an empty row for creating a new rule. Enter the occupancy (2), select Take Off or Add (3), and enter the percentage (4) that the room rate should be adjusted.

3. Click the Add button. (5)

Tip: Rules are sorted by occupancy level, and the first rule that matches the current occupancy is the one that will be applied For example, if you you already have a rule for when the hotel is “Up to 25% full” and you add a rule for when the hotel is “Up to 50% full”, the new rule will only apply when the hotel is at least 25% full, but less than 50% full.
