Send Newsletter

The Newsletter system allows you to send a newsletter to the selected recipients.

The Newsletter will be constructed in such a way that most of the content of the email will be automatically populated with Current special offers, entertainment & events, a link to buy vouchers and a room search built into the email. Maximising possible sales from the email.

 

The newsletter can be themed with the hotel colours or a theme to suit the time of year, e.g. A Halloween theme or Christmas theme.

The newsletter configuration is performed first in the Newsletter Settings page under General Settings. This page allows you to set the colours and the image that will appear in the newsletter.

Once your new theme has been saved you can construct your newsletter in the 'Online Marketing' – 'Send Newsletter' page.

This editor will allow you to insert text and images into the main body area of the email. The resulting email will be styled using the colours saved in the Newsletter settings.

 

The newsletter is sent from the SMTP user address in the Admin settings – this is due to current SMTP restrictions, when possible this will be changed to use an alternative address.

Testing your newsletter.

You should always send a test email to ensure your email looks ok and everything is as expected before your send the email to your subscribers.

Enter your email address into the 'Send Test Email' textbox and click the Send Test Email button – this will send a test email to this address only.

You should receive the email within a few minutes, if you are happy with the email you can select the recipients from the categories listed and click 'Send'.

This will send a copy of the email to all the recipients in the list, the email will also be saved online so it can be viewed online incase for some reason it is not displaying correctly in the recipients email program.

The online version will always use the same theme and image that was used when sending the newsletter, however the special offers and the entertainment and events will be updated to show current up to date information – this is necessary if someone clicks on the link in the email to view the online version some time after the email was received.

The email is not saved online when it is being sent as a test, as a result the View in browser link will be disabled in the test email.

Replying to Newsletters
When the recipient replies to the newsletter email it will be delivered to the Application email address in the Admin settings.
